Mission Statement
Chelsea Editions was created with a single purpose—to present the work of important modern and contemporary Italian poets in handsomely produced volumes with facing English versions by award-winning translators. This project fulfilled the decades-long dream of the editor, the late Alfredo de Palchi, to provide an outlet for Italian poetry, neglected by the large presses and by most of the small ones as well. Future developments are pending.
Chelsea Editions is
an imprint of Chelsea Associates, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation under
section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. For fifty
years Chelsea Associates Inc. published the literary magazine Chelsea,
which has ceased publication with the final, double issue 82/83, 2007.
