[pp. 22, 23]

Nel mistero profumato della stanza sacrestia
alla funzione del mese di maggio
rosario predica benedizione
quando spariva con tutto il rosso il sole
ci si immetteva scollinando verso Crenna
il Sacro Monte nero sullo sfondo.
In un soffietto per zolfo
nascosto sotto la panca del coro
lupi e corvi spogliandosi
della loro natura selvaggia
pregavano. Amunentava intorno odoroso il mistero
bachi da seta botti di rovere liutai
e pannocchie pannocchie all'uscita
per la scorciatoia, la villa col prato in alto
senza recinzione. Si acquietava il cane da guardia
luna mula che sapore sul cancello
dai cardini di ferro lavorato
e férmati solo quando sanguino.

In the perfrumed mystery of the sacristy
for the month of May's service
Rosary sermon benediction
when the sun disappeared with the red
we would head over the pass toward Crenna
the Sacro Monte black in the background.
In a small puff of sulphur
hidden under the choir-bench
wolves and crows, shedding
their wild nature,
prayed. The scented mystery around increased,
silworms, oak barrels, lute-makers...
and cobs, corn-cobs at the exit,
down the short cut, the villa with the fence-free
meadow, up high. The guard dog quieted down
mule moon what flavor
on the wrought-iron hinges of the gate,
and stop only when I bleed.

[pp. 80, 81]

Non c'era volta
la mia pazienza coi bambini bugiardi:
trasparenza e fedeltà nutrivano
assoluto amore
oppure nulla via
e si ricominciava.
Oggie conservo le parole non butto uno sguardo
tengo da conton l'eclastichino
la cordina il ritaglio,
ricompongo persino giusti
puzzle di bugie.

Once upon a non-time
I lacked patience with lying children:
transparency and loyalty fed
unconditional love
otherwise no way
and I restarted from scrap.
Now I save my words I don't waste a glance
I carefully keep the small rubber band
the string the clipping;
I even reassemble truthful
puzzle of lies.
